Bellator 244 produces just 275K on Paramount Friday

August 24, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Bellator 244 drew 275,000 viewers on the Paramount Network on Friday night per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The ratings are the lowest of the year on the network.

The event featured Vadim Nemkov as he won the light heavyweight title from Ryan Bader.

The event was simulcast on DAZN.  The telecast on cable drew just 0.09 in the 18-49 demo.

Bellator on Paramount 2020

Bellator 239:  296,000

Bellator 240:  310,000

Bellator 242:  277,000

Bellator 243:  403,000

Bellator 244:  275,000

Payout Perspective:

The promotion will end its stay on Paramount with back-to-back nights of events on September 11 and 12th.  The ratings have to be disappointing considering Ryan Bader was defending the light heavyweight title.  While there was a simulcast on DAZN, its hard to expect more viewers on the streaming platform.

Dana White is such a MAGA stooge. He runs around every podcast talking about how he’s “not political” and how Donald Trump is “just his friend,” all while asking that same friend to help him write off more gambling losses and throwing him a UFC fight in front of the White House

New: UFC President Dana White has sent a letter to President Donald Trump asking him to help reverse the 90 percent limit on gambling loss deductions for US taxpayers that became law last year.

The issue has been a concern for both bettors and the gambling industry itself.
