Bellator returns to Paramount drawing 277K

Bellator MMA received 277,000 viewers on Friday night per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  It was the first time that the promotion held an event since the pandemic shutdown this past spring.

In the feature bout of the evening from the Mohegan Sun Sergio Pettis defeated Ricky Bandejas in a bantamweight matchup.  The 135-minute event drew a 0.09 household rating.  It was also shown on digital platform DAZN.

Payout Perspective:

It was the first night of MLB and there was a certain number of people watching on DAZN, but the ratings are low.  Returning to action, Bellator has to hope it can garner more viewers for the product.

New: UFC President Dana White has sent a letter to President Donald Trump asking him to help reverse the 90 percent limit on gambling loss deductions for US taxpayers that became law last year.

The issue has been a concern for both bettors and the gambling industry itself.
