Fight Master Episode 5: 441,000 viewer average

July 26, 2013 by Jason Cruz 13 Comments

Ratings for Bellator’s reality series, Fight Master, on Spike TV continued to drop as episode 5 drew an average of only 441,000 viewers.  It was the second straight week the ratings have dropped and this week’s episode was the second lowest of the season.

Episode 1: 432,000 viewers

Episode 2: 545,000 viewers

Episode 3: 676,000 viewers – DVR + 3; 810,000 viewers

Episode 4:  505,000 viewers – DVR + 3; 607,000 viewers

Episode 5: 441,000 viewers

Payout Perspective:

So much for the steady increase during the season.  The reality show did not do well against other cable shows in its time slot.  For instance, Television By Numbers shows that FX original series, “The Bridge” scored 1.7 million in its third episode and Joe Rogan’s new series on SyFy, “Joe Rogan Questions Everything” received an average viewership of 1.3 million.  The numbers must be concerning as this is the part in the show that should start to get interesting.

Too bad the ratings are dipping after a solid week three. The show has it’s moments of intrigue, but not a huge fan of TUF and this show. TUF hasn’t gotten a tiny bit stale although this last season was interesting at times. However, can’t wait to see the co-ed season with Tate and Rousey.

150,000 buys for UFC PPV’s and less than 400k viewers for this show?

There’s obviously a hardcore fan base for MMA but it’s hardly growing anymore. Just staying afloat

I’m beginning to think Simple Sampson has been banned from every other site, this is the only one he can troll on anymore.

Just staying afloat? I wonder if you boxing is just staying afloat when NBC Sports fight nights do half the ratings Fight Master does. Of course not.

    Fucking troll.

And look for Dana’s body language regarding Belfort
or maybe he just has an itchy nose lol…..

    Touching One’s Nose
Among the most common signs of lying is the nose touch. It seems that the nose touch is connected to the original mouth covering gesture that is so obvious in children. Because adults are more conscious about body signs that they are displaying, the hand is quickly pulled away from the mouth, which results in a quick nose touching gesture.
You can tell the difference between a “normal” nose itch, and a nose touch that is from the signs of lying – the simple itch will be satisfied with rubbing or scratching, but won’t be satisfied with just a light touch, and this is what happens when the person is lying.

    Grabbing One’s Ear
When a little child hears something that she doesn’t like, she covers both her ears as if to prevent herself from hearing the sound. Adults are more conscious about what they do with their body, so instead of obvious ear covering gestures, they could quickly touch the earlobe, or rub the back of the ear, or even screw back and forth the inside of the ear.

He has no reason to lie about Belfort. Fact it no one knows if he could get a license for TRT in Nevada or not. He hasn’t applied. Dana is exactly right. Vitor is very popular in Brazil and TRT or not. It would be stupid to use him anywhere else. If he was fighting bigger selling opponents I would understand an argument being made. But he is fighting guys like Rockhold, Bisping, and Kennedy who are not draws in the US. They do not sell tickets. In Brazil they don’t need to because Vitor sells enough to make up for it.

Also TRT is just a technicality. It makes it easier and safer to use Test if you have a license to use it. But these guys were talking long before they started getting Therapeutic Use Exemptions(TUE). If they come in high, they get a slap on the wrist if that if they have a TUE. If not it is an auto suspension and fine and No Contest. But Vitor can do business as usual without a TUE from the commission. Nate and Dan Henderson and others have used TRT and have now went off of it. Which proves their deficiency was from PE’s not natural. They went off TRT. Im sure they are still taking PE’s but they are not requesting a TUE because all the negative attention it is getting. But they are still on stuff. Vitor will be no different.

Also each state has a different commission. Some of them would give him a TUE. So really you are just going to point your finger if Vitor fights anywhere in the world except Vegas. Because there are only a couple of commissions who have went on record saying they would give TUE to someone who has failed in the past.

Seriously. You lack of knowledge on the fight game amazes me.

    Question for you Tops.

Lets say your ignorance is correct. Very big assumption, I know. What should be done? I know you will say something utterly ridiculous. But there is few options that are reasonable. Whether his Low T is self induced by PE use or not. Fact remains more than likey he does need it. So him not taking it isn’t an option due to health risks. The only options left are to grant a TUE for TRT or Kick a top 5 ranked fighter with many years left in the sport out of the sport and into retirement.

From the UFC’s perspective. It would be stupid to release him and not use him. There is only a couple places in the world where Vitor fighting has some issues involved. While they can use him anywhere else in the free world. Why would they do anything different that what they are “maybe” doing? If they release him he will just go and fight in Brazil any way in another promotion or go to Bellator where they hit every shady commission in the US. So even if you are right. Why should the UFC do anything else?

Hahaha….Dana’s staunch defender…you always over react….then if you don’t agree with the body language profile(which i didn’t create) then just say Dana’s nose was itchy….as I said lol….

Itchy nose? maybe its that powder. that would explain dana needing to pay himself so much more than the fighters.
