UFC spent $620K on lobbying efforts in 2012

The UFC ranked second to the NFL in terms of lobbying expenses of sports organizations for 2012.  The UFC spent $620,000 last year in lobbying efforts which mostly relate to anti-piracy laws and educating legislators on MMA. I don’t disagree with the criticism of the quality of the fights here but the amount of time spent rehashing old comments from Rousey & Carano in a sport where open bigots, accused rapist & friends of war criminals & cartel bosses regularly get top billing seems overboard.
