The UFC announced it the UFC Freedom 250 card drew 34 million total global viewers. According to the promotion it was the most-watched UFC event ever in the U.S.

Previously, the UFC announced 8.2 million people tuned in in the U.S. and Latin America. In the U.S. an average of 7 million people watched the event. A total of 17 million viewers peaked for the UFC White House event.
Today’s announcement includes viewership in Australia, China, India, South Korea, New Zealand, and the U.K. which “doubles the reported audience and increased total global viewership to an estimated 34 million people. It also notes that Spain and France will not report viewership until mid-July which would increase the viewership event more. Easily the most-watched UFC event in its history.
Probably, more impressive is the UFC claims that social media amassed 126 billion total views, 5 billion engagements and 536,000 new followers.
The social media numbers seem huge and likely something the company will deploy to seek advertising and marketing dollars. The event itself drew big numbers for the company and despite its constant reminder that it spent more than it will receive from the endeavor, I think the company will make that money back.
