ScottsMiracle-Gro commits $1M to restore White House Lawn

June 22, 2026 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

With all of the hoopla around last week’s UFC White House event, it went under the radar that ScottsMiracle-Gro has donated $1M to restore the White House South Lawn.

Prior to the event, the UFC indicated that it would pay $700,000 to restore and resod the South Lawn after the event. However, ScottsMiracle-Gro stepped up to restore the lawn. As a result, its signage appeared in the cage.

It’s not clear if the UFC will still commit the $700,000 or if the donation by ScottsMiracle-Gro will be provided instead. Obviously, ScottsMiracle-Gro donated the money as part of a marketing campaign. In addition, it received the publicity as part of the event. Of course, it will be judged on the restoration of the South Lawn. Hopefully it does better than the company that “restored” the Reflection Pool.
