UFC makes Meta sponsor deal official

April 2, 2025 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The UFC announced on Wednesday that Meta was the company’s new Official Fan Technology Partner. The multi-year sponsorship deal will include the promotion using Meta’s technology platforms, services and products.

The deal includes Meta being the Official AI Glasses Partner of the UFC and will integrate the product at UFC events. It also designates Threads as the official social media partner and Meta AI as fan AI partner.

Although terms of the deal were not disclosed, TKO Group EVP & Head of Partnership Grant Norris-Jones said that it is a “multimillion-dollar” sponsorship.

As with most of the UFC sponsors, Meta’s activations will revolve around live UFC events including PPVs and Fight Nights. Brand placement in the Octagon, broadcast features and in-arena fan experiences.

Payout Perspective:

Another big feather in the cap for the UFC. Obviously, Meta’s owner’s fascination with the sport likely helped. Also, Dana White being on the Meta board likely was a tip-off that something would happen between the two companies. The company is an early-adopter in technology and caters to the valuable young male demo so this deal is also important for Meta. It is notable that Threads will now be an official social media partner for the company. Will this mean an exodus from Twitter, the choice of many UFC fans and fighters?
