O’Malley gets own ad campaign with Timex

July 10, 2023 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

SBJ reports that “Suga” Sean O’Malley is getting his own 30-second advertising spot to launch the “It’s Suga Time” campaign. Timex is an official sponsor of the UFC.

The paid media ad buy is on TV, social media and digital media channels.

The video pushes Timex’s new co-branded collection of watches, wearables and clocks. The watches go for $65-$210.

The deal comes in time for O’Malley’s biggest fight at the TD Garden in Boston on August 19th as he faces Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight title.

Payout Perspective:

It would be interesting to know if O’Malley brokered the deal for him or they did this with the help of the UFC. The O’Malley push makes sense as the UFC seems to be high on him. O’Malley is a marketable guy to the Generation Z and Alpha crowds due to his unique look, love of video games and cannabis. He is also a talented fighter and pairing him with the UFC watch sponsor should help all three.
