UFC on ESPN 30 draws 657K viewers Saturday

August 31, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC on ESPN 30 drew 657,000 viewers on the network Saturday night per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The telecast drew 303,000 in the A18-49 demo and a household rating of 0.39.

The main card ranked 7th in cable Saturday night.  It drew 0.23 in the A18-49, 0.17 in F18-49, 0.30 in M18-49, 0.16 in A18-34, 0.08 in F12-34, 0.21 in M12-34, 0.29 in A25-54 and 0.27 in over 50.

The feature bout on the main card was Edson Barboza taking on Giga Chikadze.  Chikadze earned the win via stoppage.

Payout Perspective:

The viewership was down from last weekend’s UFC Vegas 34 event which drew 743K viewers. This week, the UFC had to compete with NFL preseason and the start of College Football. Also likely affecting the ratings was its later start on the east coast and lack of prelims on the main network.

This Anthony Smith situation is sad, its another cry for help of someone that's obviously suffering from something. No way you harm your wife and threaten to kill yourself just because.
