PFL Playoffs 2 draws 350K viewers Thursday night on ESPN

August 21, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The Pro Fighters League 2 Playoffs drew 350,000 viewers on ESPN Thursday night per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The telecast featured the second set of playoffs featuring Kayla Harrison.

The telecast took place on Thursday night while the other two playoffs take place Friday.  The event featured the women’s light heavyweight division semifinals as well as the heavyweight division semifinals.

Kayla Harrison had an easy time defeating Genah Fabian in one semifinal while Taylor Guardado defeated Mariana Morais in the other.  Harrison and Guardado will face each other later this fall.

In the heavyweight division, Ante Delija defeated Denis Goltsov while Bruno Cappelozza defeated Jamelle Jones.

Payout Perspective:

A substantial improvement over last Friday’s telecast on Friday which drew 205,000 viewers. The 350,000 viewers can be attributed to being on the main network rather than ESPN2.  It also gave a better platform for Harrison.
