PFL Playoffs on ESPN2 draws 205K viewers

August 17, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The Professional Fighters League Playoffs on ESPN2 drew 205,000 viewers on Friday night. It was the first set of playoffs for this season.

In the featured bout of the evening, Ray Cooper III moved on to the finals by defeating Rory MacDonald in convincing fashion. Also of note, Raush Manfio moved on to the finals of the lightweight tournament with a controversial win over Clay Collard.

The PFL will have 2 more telecasts to see who makes it to the finals on Thursday, August 19th and Friday, August 27th.

The PFL Playoffs went up against Bellator which aired on Showtime. Thus far, no word on the ratings for the Bellator event.

The 205,000 viewers may seem small, but pretty good considering it was a Friday night up against the first slate of NFL Preseason Games as well as a competing promotion.
