April 10, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

WWE is entering the NFT space with Undertaker NFT’s which will be available starting Saturday morning.  The collectibles will be done in conjunction with the company’s major event this Sunday, Wrestlemania.

Non-Fungible Tokens are all the rage in the collectibles industry as they are self-authenticating, unique and are thought to appreciate in value.  One need only look at the market for NBA Top Shots to see their popularity.

The NFTs for The Undertaker will have three different tiers for purchase.  They are the Bronze, Silver (1 of 37), Gold (1 of 1) and Platinum (1 of 1).  The opening bid for the Platinum NFT has  a starting bid of $10,000.  It will also include two front-row tickets to either next year’s Wrestlemania in Texas or Wrestlemania 39 in Inglewood, California.  The winning bidder will also receive a personalized message from The Undertaker.

The Platinum-tier NFT assets is that of The Undertaker throwing Mick Foley from atop Hell in a Cell during the 1998 King of the Ring.

Payout Perspective:

The NFT market is heating up and it was just a matter of time before WWE got into the space.  With the Undertaker’s retirement and Wrestlemania this weekend, it was ripe for the debut of the NFT.  We shall see how much the WWE will make from this offering.

Didn't know this was a thing but delighted it is.

Conor McGregor is a horrible, despicable rapist wanker and he should be the shame of Ireland. Well done The Burren

Maybe they should just call it the Ariel Helwani award and give it to other MMA journalists?
