Bellator 235 on The Paramount Network draws just 228,000 viewers

December 23, 2019 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Bellator MMA Live 235 from Hawaii drew 228,000 viewers on The Paramount Network Saturday night. It drew a household rating of 0.08.

The event was the first night of two nights from the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu.  The first night was a feature for the U.S. Troops stationed in the area.  Unfortunately, the main event between Josh Barnett and Ronny Markes was cancelled due to an illness on the part of Barnett.

The over two hour telecast on The Paramount Network was lower than the average of the last 3 televised Bellator events.

Payout Perspective:

The telecast brings down the 2019 average on The Paramount Network to 325,000 viewers which would establish a new low for the promotion on Spike/Paramount.  Some of this may be due to the dual cast on DAZN although one has to believe that the lack of marketing and promotion of its stars has to do with that as well.
