UFC-Reebok introduce new clothing designs and Legacy Series

September 5, 2017 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The UFC and Reebok have announced updates to the clothing collection for its athletes.  This includes Fight Night collection updates and a Legacy Series.

The new designs come with feedback from UFC athletes and “the greater mixed martial arts community,” according to the company release.  There are updated versions of the UFC walkout jersey, hoodie, shorts and hats.

For the Legacy Series, UFC fighters headlining a PPV event or in a championship bout will co-design a customized fight kit that will help connect the fighter with their own fan base.

Payout Perspective:

The changes will be seen this weekend at UFC 215.  The new apparel choices seem to be concessions with fighters to include more input from the athletes that wear the Reebok apparel.  The input is something I would have thought would have happened sooner but it may have been a part of the plan.  The Legacy series will help individualize fighters and feasibly should help with the brand of the fighter.  Hopefully, these enhancements will help the fighter with the comfort, utility as well as the financial aspects of the clothing deal.
