Silva appears in Ford Commercial

November 18, 2011 by Jason Cruz 2 Comments

Anderson Silva stars in a Ford commercial in Brazil. The Spider does not speak in the commercial but is proving to be an identifiable spokesperson.

Payout Perspective:

With the UFC Brazilian market growing, it looks like Silva is taking advantage of all the publicity. As we’ve seen, Silva is drawing many mainstream sponsor and his face is becoming more and more identifiable. This is a good thing for Silva personally and could prove to open up mainstream sponsor deals for other UFC fighters (e.g. Junior dos Santos).

Smart. Especially as the UFC hasnt done much to help their own Automaker in Dodge… The Brazilian Ford subsidiary can essentially ambush market in Brazil and try to create some form of a implied relationship with the MMA leader in their marketplace.

Once again UFC… get your heads out of your you know whats… a local ford marketer in another country and one of your fighters does a better job creating a relationship to activate than the friggen global league entity and their own multi-million dollar sponsor!

Yes, the Pulitzer-winning journalist is the source we should ignore, not the people who continue to want access to the LA sports team they cover. This was a dumb thing to think and an even dumber thing to tweet.
