October 11, 2010 by Staff 4 Comments

MMANews.com flies under the radar in the MMA web-scape, but enjoys a stronger than expected reach thanks to its prime domain real estate.  Its content offerings are meager compared to its peers, but it does offer the occasional scoop. Its position is bolstered by its forum which is second only to Sherdog in terms of activity.

I’m curious to know since I can’t find any stats for MMA message board popularity…

Where does the UG rank, and what are the top boards in order? It might be worth a separate piece on here to break down the boards and their influence.

According to Alexa, Sherdog.net is around the 4000th most popular site on the internet (they rank according to page views and visitors).
mmanews.com is around number 80,000, and the UG is ranked 25,686,863th.
Probably something screwy going on with the UG’s ranking, I thought it’d be higher, personally.

People who do martial arts will laugh and tell me it’s fake. But then I ask them why they do martial arts? 😉

I should point out that according to those at TKO that the ESPN/MVPW boxing deal is a revenue sharing agreement similar to the original AEW/Turner deal in 2019 and not a full paying media rights deal which Top Rank had and wasn't renewed.
