Tapout Re-Signs Rich Franklin

May 4, 2010 by Kelsey Philpott 1 Comment

Tapout has announced that it has renewed its partnership with Rich Franklin for UFC 115 and will also be involved in marketing Franklin’s American Fighter apparel line moving forward.

As part of the deal struck, Rich Franklin will be walking out with his very own signature shirt that stylishly showcases both the TapouT brand and Franklin’s own MMA brand “American Fighter”. TapouT is poised and ready to take the American Fighter brand to the next level with TapouT’s vast marketing and distribution resources.

Payout Perspective:

You may recall that Rich Franklin was sponsored by Tapout a few years ago with his signature pink and brown shorts. When he left the company and began to promote American Fighter more heavily, he maintained the signature design while adding the AF logos.

I’ve been told that Tapout has not purchased any stake in American Fighter, but has agreed to aid with the company’s distribution and assist in marketing and promotion of the brand. Keep an eye on the configuration that we see from Franklin at 115; that should give us a better idea of what the two companies have in store.

Not sure what Tapout is looking to accomplish. Franklin has a good chance of beating Chuck who is very popular so it gets the Tapout name some eyes on the product. Then Franklins next few fights should be high profile with a win over Chuck. But im not sure its worth peddling someone elses product. There is little benifit to them.

@Josh_HokitUFC You’re gonna cry you were cancelled by the left for “free speech”. And then you’ll post 200 times a day on Twitter until fox and friends invites you on to “tell your story”. And after that you’ll run for congress and your campaign will be centered on white grievance.

This is

Real question. Was this announced or is there an intern somewhere that is taking note of ever fighter’s follow and unfollow?

"Ian Garry is lying about me... I'm not sure why he made up a lie [about me filming him without permission]."
