Strikeforce Nashville: EA MMA Gameplay Video

April 20, 2010 by Kelsey Philpott 2 Comments

Electronic Arts was a major part of the Strikeforce on CBS broadcast at Strikeforce: Nashville last Saturday, but its presence and new gameplay video were unfortunately over-shadowed by the brawl that happened at the end of the night (as was everything else). Here’s another look in case you missed it:

Payout Perspective:

I noticed during the broadcast that the release date for the game was changed to Late 2010, which leads me to believe they were going to delay launch of the game to have it coincide with the next Strikeforce on CBS card and really give things a big push (similar to how the UFC uses its video game to support its rush of summer events).  But now it’s difficult to predict what CBS’ next move is going to be and what impact that might have on the game.

I tend to think it’ll be released by the end of this year, regardless, but certainly, if they can time things from a marketing perspective, they will.

I think the gameplay looked kinda like a cartoon.

It looks better than the first UFC game. They will have time to test the game and tweak it before it is released. The gameplay will tell the story.
