THQ Announces Demo Fighters

April 6, 2010 by Kelsey Philpott 2 Comments

According to THQ’s UFC Undisputed Blog, the demo for UFC Undisputed 2010 will feature four playable fighters from the main events of the UFC’s two major shows in May.

Hey Undisputed Community,

Because so many of you have been asking for it, we wanted to give you a quick update on the demo.

The demo will feature the following 4 Light Heavyweight Fighters:

  • Mauricio “Shogun” Rua
  • Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida
  • Rashad “Sugar” Evans
  • Quinton “Rampage” Jackson

In this demo, you’ll be able to jump right into Exhibition Mode or challenge your friends offline with Tournament Mode. More details on these modes coming soon.

A release date hasn’t been set, but we’d like to release the demo a full month before Undisputed 2010 hits store shelves on both PSN and Xbox Live.  Stay tuned for more info.

Payout Perspective:

This is exactly how THQ promoted the game last year in order to a.) demonstrate the product’s functionality and b.) help give the UFC events a little more push, especially inside of that gaming demographic that’s going to watch each and every trailer for new insight.

People who do martial arts will laugh and tell me it’s fake. But then I ask them why they do martial arts? 😉

I should point out that according to those at TKO that the ESPN/MVPW boxing deal is a revenue sharing agreement similar to the original AEW/Turner deal in 2019 and not a full paying media rights deal which Top Rank had and wasn't renewed.
