Mayweather-Maidana does 900K PPV buys

Sports Illustrated reports that the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana fight on May 3rd received 900,000 PPV buys.  According to the Chris Mannix article, the PPV buy rate is from multiple industry sources. Preliminary indications show that Mayweather-Maidana drew 800K-900K PPV buys

ESPN’s Dan Rafael indicated in a Sportsnation Chat with fans  that the PPV buy rates from the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana fight sold between 800,000 to 900,000 PPVs.  Golden Boy and Showtime have yet to make an official announcement.
