Licking his wounds from losing his majority in the House and Senate in a sound rebuke of whatever he’s been doing with his second rule as leader of the United States, the president stated that he wanted Dana White as the new press secretary.
Since he presumably is of sound mind, people reading his social media post (everybody) thought that this may be another out of the box (or brain) thinking. Notwithstanding, White has no experience aside from melting during a recent Zuffa Boxing press conference and castigating the media that is not a buddy of the organization.
Obviously, since this is the president we must interpret what he means rather than have him state what he says.
Notably, there is a woman at the Department of Defense, Dana White, that served as the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense of Public Affairs. He could have met her until you realize she is a person of color and its unlikely the president would do that…in my opinion.
There has been discussion about it being a joke which may be the case. But, there were also reports that White had turned down the offer. Honestly, the smart decision.
With his support at an all time low (according to polls) and Tuesday’s midterms reflecting the acrimony toward the state of the United States, Trump floated a balloon to gain attention and it did not go as he had hoped.
