UFC selling soundtrack to White House event

July 5, 2026 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Late last week, the UFC announced it was selling the music to the Freedom 250 event at the White House on the president’s birthday.

The live band that performed the fighters’ walkout songs throughout the night will be encapsulated…and sold to the public by the UFC. It is available on all major music platforms as of this past Friday.

“The President’s Own” United States Marine Band provides most of the music which should bring up some questions.

First, its not the “President’s Own.” I believe the US Marine Band belongs to the nation and the president has access to them while he’s in office. The ownership of a band infers that its his personal band. Moreover, did the band know that they would be exploited commercially. It sounds nice and honorable to put out a soundtrack for the nation. But this isn’t charity, its going to the company that cried poverty because they claimed that they were losing money on the extravagance of the event.

The proliferation of gambling makes "shit happens" no longer an acceptable excuse. There should be a vehicle for fixing grossly unfair outcomes like the one that happened to Western Michigan tonight.

We are now in the part of College Football where we are starting to do do-overs so the right team can win

Terry McAulay: "The ball isn't even close to touching a player when it goes to zero... Their Hawk-Eye system apparently had a different sync... I don't see how that happened, assuming our clock is correct... The ball is clearly still in the air when the clock goes to zero..."

Excellent drive from Bryce Underwood and Michigan. So much different from much of last year.

Kyle Whittingham is such a great football coach! Going to be fun to watch the progression of this team.
