The Professional Fighters League announced on Tuesday that it will hold an event in upstate New York on July 31st. The show will be headlined by Usman Nurmogomedov and Dakota Ditcheva.
Nurmagomedov will take on Archie Colgan in the main event of the PFL New York event at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York. Dakota Ditcheva returns to face Denise Kielholtz in the co-main event.
Arguably, Nurmagomedov and Ditcheva are the biggest draws for the company. Both are champions and would be considered top fighters across the board in MMA (read UFC). This is the latest in domestic shows for the PFL. This spring, it held a show in Pittsburgh, next month it will be in San Diego and now we see New York in July. It is a smaller arena and upstate New York, but the PFL is setting itself up for success by packing this event in July. With the card slated for ESPN, it should be one of the bigger audiences for the PFL.
