Conor McGregor returns July 11th

May 17, 2026 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Dana White announced last night on his IG Live feed to announce the UFC 329 card including the return of Conor McGregor as he faces Max Holloway.

The announcement came during the start of the Francis Ngannou-Phillipe Lins fight on the Netflix-MVP card.

McGregor will face Holloway in a rematch of their 2013 fight in Boston. Of course, it will be McGregor’s first fight in the UFC Octagon since 2021. A lot has happened since that UFC Fight in 2013. McGregor’s profile ascended and we know the rest. It took Holloway a little longer to get to McGregor’s level but he is definitely a UFC Hall of Famer and one of the best ever in the lightweight division.

McGregor’s life since his last fight in July 2021 against Dustin Poirier has included many side quests and legal incidents including being found guilty of sexual misconduct by an Irish Court. McGregor was set to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June 2024 but backed out due to an injury. We will see if McGregor will actually make this fight on July 11th.
