UFC and FBI team up for training

March 11, 2026 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The UFC announced that it is partnering with the FBI to conduct a training session for its agents headed up by former and current UFC stars. The event will take place at FBI Special Agent Academy in Quantico, Virginia.

Per the press release, the UFC athletes will visit the facility this weekend. Per the press release:

The athletes, along with UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard, will provide insight into how they train for competition, as well as demonstrate specific techniques and tactics, offering a unique perspective to the students as they prepare to enter the field office.

In addition to Maynard, the release includes the additional people:

Note Gaethje’s name is misspelled.

Payout Perspective:

This seems to be a photo op to promote June’s UFC at The White House. Also, it’s not clear if taxpayer dollars are paying for this. Kash Patel made comments about the UFC helping FBI agents with getting in shape and this seems to be it. In my opinion, this seems like a way for the UFC to recoup some money from its investment in the UFC at The White House where it states that it is spending $60 million on the event.
