During the UFC 326 broadcast on Paramount, the promotion announced that the fight between Zhang Weili and Joanna Jedrzejczyk would be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame Fight Week.
The event took place in March 2020 and saw one of the best fights of the year. Zhang earned a split decision victory in retaining the women’s strawweight title over the former champion.
The fight was a back and forth fight that the former champ obtain a huge hematoma on her forehead. Regardless, the fight produced incredible stats including Zhang throwing more than 400 total strikes and Joanna throwing almost 400. She did outstrike the champ 186-165.
