Italy gets WWE PLE upon joining Netflix streaming deal

September 17, 2025 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Nick Khan told Sports Business that Italy would host its first-ever WWE Premium Live Event in early 2026.

The news comes as Italy will join Netflix’s WWE streaming deal. Recently, WWE announced that it will hold 2027’s Wrestlemania in Saudi Arabia. It will be the first time that Wrestlemania will be held outside of North America.

The WWE have held WWE PLE’s in Europe including Wales, France, the UK, Germany and Scotland. Most recently, it held an event in Paris, France. This spring, it went on a prolonged European tour which included Bologna, Italy.

There is no date or location for the Italian PLE but the news seems to be a gift to the Italy for joining with Netflix as a partner. Also, WWE has hit big its international events based on the live shots of crowds cheering and singing during the events.
