UFC plans to expand Apex

August 9, 2025 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The web site LVSportsBiz.com reports that the UFC intends to expand The Apex to include additional seating for fans. The report states that the company intends to add room for 5,000 to 10,000 fans.

The article tends to be bullish on the potential that The Apex could be the hub of both UFC and WWE events. Notably, NXT ran an event at The Apex in June 2024. The WWE has not held an event at The Apex.

The UFC has held many of its Fight Night events at The Apex and it has been a cost-effective way of producing events without having to travel and seek out site fees for non-number UFC events.

There’s no timeframe on the addition but the article states Hunter Campbell has confirmed the addition. However, adding fans to the facility would provide a better atmosphere for some of the events. With the WWE selling its PLEs to ESPN for its DTC service, one could see ESPN renewing the UFC for events which the company could conveniently hold at The Apex.

The Kyle Shanahan car accident happened on July 14. It was a matter of public record. The 49ers wanted to keep it quiet until training camp opened on July 25. And, instead of reporting publicly-available facts, the reporters who knew about it complied. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/49ers-wanted-to-keep-shanahan-accident-quiet-and-some-in-the-media-complied

Imagine someone from the Bay Area getting into a car accident with the head coach of the 49ers and not saying anything about it for 11 days. People put their breakfast on Instagram now.

What are some explanations for why this person in the other car hasn’t spoke up?
