ABC News reports that FBI Director Kash Patel would like the agency to partner with the UFC in an effort to improve agents’ physical fitness. Patel mentioned this during a teleconference on Wednesday.
Patel, a dubious individual who supports many of the president’s conspiracy theories was installed at the Federal Bureau of Investigation last week. The suggestion that the agency work with the UFC infers a working with a Trump ally, Dana White.
Patel’s suggestion also brings into question that the administration is cozying up with its friends. If the FBI would work with the UFC, it would be paying a Trump ally from federal funds. This would seem like a conflict of interest.
With the new administration its hard to know what is real and what is fake. Patel, like most in the Trump circle, may have been talking out loud without a filter. But, at a time when the government is slashing everything, hiring the UFC to get into shape makes no sense.
