UFC names new Official Razor

December 10, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Jeremy’s Razor will be the new Official Razor of the UFC starting in 2025. It replaces Manscaped which had been a part of the organization since 2019.

Falling in line with other right-leaning companies that sponsor the UFC such as Black Rifle Coffee, Jeremy’s Razor proclaims itself as the anti-woke razor.

Per Sports Business Journal, the deal includes branding in the octagon (which will commence in January at UFC 311) broadcast integrations and digital/social media support. The brand had sponsored some UFC shoulder programming and then became the Official Sponsor. Manscaped, which ends its deal with the company at the end of the year, tripled its investment in UFC when it renewed in 2022.

Payout Perspective:

Two noteworthy inferences from the move. First, Manscaped had tripled its investment in the UFC and its marketing efforts with the promotion likely helped its visibility to the target young male demo. Secondly, it will be interesting to see how more political the UFC will get with its sponsors and sporting events overall. The “anti-woke” razor? I don’t know how much that persuades a consumer to purchase its product but the UFC has made itself known as the right-leaning sport and this declaration could be big business or see a drawback in fandom.
