Ditcheva leads PFL $1M champions

November 30, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The PFL Championships took place on Friday in Saudi Arabia and women’s flyweight Dakota Ditcheva showed her dominance in the women’s flyweight division as her star continues to ascend.

Ditcheva took out former UFC women’s flyweight contender Talia Santos with a body shot in the second round of their championship fight. Ditcheva celebrated by putting on lipstick on her lips with some shade toward her appointment who referred to as Barbie prior to the fight.

In addition, Timur Khizriev defeated Brendan Loughnane for the men’s bantamweight $1M prize. Dovlet Yagshimuradov took out former division champion Impa Kansanganay for the light heavyweight crown. Shamil Musaev won the welterweight title with a win over Magomed Umalato. Denis Goltsov submitted Oleg Popov for the heavyweight title.

But the biggest winner of the night was Ditcheva who has the star power the organization needs if it indeed wants to compete with the UFC. Overall, the PFL does not have the talent as the UFC, except when it comes to Ditcheva who is undefeated and has the appeal both in and out of the cage to make herself a star. While its true that she has yet to face a fighter that can take her down and force her to use grappling, she has the striking acumen to entertain the masses.

We will see what the organization does with her.

For those that don’t see it, Dundon made his billions in the subprime predatory lending space. Nice zing by Calabro.
