Per a public records request from the Washington State Department of Licensing, the October 12th AEW WrestleDream sold 6,373 tickets for a gate of $456,513.85.
AEW WrestleDream took place at the Tacoma Dome, Saturday October 12th. The feature matchup had local hero Brian Danielson taking on Jon Moxley. Also, Swerve Strickland made an appearance during the show.
There were 724 complimentary tickets for the event which was one of AEW’s PPVs for the year.
In comparison, WWE Smackdown in Seattle at the Climate Pledge Arena (CPA) drew a paid attendance of $867,005 with 12,775 paying. They had 216 comps per the Washington State Department of Licensing records request. Obviously the two venues are not the same and CPA had more capacity, but its safe to say professional wrestling is very popular in the Northwest.
