After 2 years, Michael Chandler finally gets a fight

September 14, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Michael Chandler will fight Charles Oliveira at UFC 309 in November at Madison Square Garden. The fight will be the co-main event for the night as Chandler’s quest to fight Conor McGregor is over for now.

Dana White announced that McGregor would not fight until 2025 which would require another delay for Chandler. Chandler was scheduled to fight against McGregor for UFC 303 in June but that fight was scratched due to a McGregor injury. With McGregor’s status not certain, Chandler took the Oliveira fight.

Payout Perspective:

Chandler made the right decision. Honestly, it would be hard to stay out of action for this long to wait for McGregor. We really don’t know when McGregor will be back. The fight against Oliveira makes sense as with a win it would position him in the picture for a shot against Islam Makachev. As for a fight with McGregor, he should still have an opportunity, but he can’t wait his whole career for the fight.

Wait, is this for real? Trump spent $60 million of our taxpayer funds to host a UFC fight and then is selling UFC coin to line his family’s pockets. The Trump corruption swamp is a mile deep.
