TKO signs deal with Indiana Sports Corp. for multi-PLE deal

June 24, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

TKO announced a first-of-its-kind partnership which will bring Wrestlemania, Summerslam and Royal Rumble to Indianapolis. The deal gives Indiana that chance to hold 3 of the company’s top Premium Live Events to the area.

The deal also includes the ancillary benefits of having Raw, SmackDown, NXT and WWE Live events from the arenas across Indiana.

According to the press release, the 3 PLE events will have a combined economic impact of more than $300 million with the inference that travel and tourism will be positively impacted to the area.

In addition, the WWE and Indiana Sports Corp will hold community partner events in conjunction with the company events.

Payout Perspective:

This is the types of deals that TKO is looking for in the future. The site fee model is evolving with this deal. Indiana’s pitch to WWE reflects the company’s popularity and reputation for positive economic impact on the area. Obviously, Indiana is providing incentive in what we can imagine to be tax relief and/or monetary compensation for holding the events in the area in exchange for the benefits the company will bring to the region. We will see how far TKO will go with this model and if the UFC will follow suit with some of its overseas events.
