Bud Light presenting sponsor of UFC 299

March 8, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The Sports Business Journal reports that Bud Light will be the presenting sponsor for UFC 299 on Saturday.

Via SBJ article on the news:

Additional assets Bud Light will get as presenting partner include increased integration into the ESPN broadcast and increased branding throughout the event like having its logo on press conference backdrops, weigh-in steps and the round cards.

The article notes that this is a new concept for the UFC. Toronto’s PPV this year had Canadian trade school Skilled Trades Colleges as the presenting sponsor.

Bud Light returned to the Octagon to replace Modelo as the Official Beer of the UFC. It had been the center of controversy after it had supported a transgender individual. This evoked faux outrage from right wingers who called for a boycott of the brand. But, with its hefty monetary return to the UFC, this seems to have gone away.
