The UFC 297 Prelims on ESPN drew 1.026 million viewers per Sports Media Watch. The telecast scored 542,000 viewers (0.54 in the 18-49).

The NFL Playoff game between the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens served as a lead-in for the UFC. The UFC Prelims featured Garrett Armfield winning a decision over home country favorite Brad Katona. The telecast did see Canadian Gillian Robertson get a victory over Polyana Viana.

The main event of UFC 297 saw Dricus du Plessis win the UFC Middleweight title from Sean Strickland.

Payout Perspective:

A good showing for the first PPV of 2024. The NFL Playoffs helped although the post-game show was the immediate lead-in for UFC 297. Still, the viewership shows that people were still interested in the UFC or at least held on until the next NFL Playoff game started.
