UFC 297 attendance, gate and bonuses

January 22, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC 297 took place on Saturday night from Toronto, Canada. The main event saw a title change and it was given Fight of the Night.

Dricus Du Plessis’s split decision victory over Sean Strickland drew the $50K Fight of the Night for both fighters. Earning Performance Bonuses was Gillian Robertson for her second-round TKO of Plyana Viana and Jasmine Jasudavicius’s submission over Priscila Cachoeira.

Notably, Robertson and Jasudavicius were the only Canadians to win in Toronto. The 5 Canadian men that competed on the card lost while the two female fighters earned victories.

The event from Scotiabank Arena drew 18,559 fans for a gate of $7,898,695. Per Jed I. Goodman, it was the biggest gate in Toronto out of the 5 UFC events there. Of course, the last UFC event was 2016 so things have changed since then.
