UFC 296 Prelims draw average of 925K viewers

UFC 296 on ESPN2 drew 925,000 viewers this past Saturday per Sports Media Watch. The telecast drew 565,000 viewers in the A18-49 demo.

UFC 296 prelims aired on ESPN2 due to College Football on ESPN. The featured event saw Alonzo Menifield defeat Dustin Jacoby via unanimous decision. However, the fight prior to the feature drew the Fight of the Night with Irene Aldana and Karol Rosa winning the crowd over with a back and forth battle. Aldana earned the victory but both received an extra $50K. Also on the prelims was Cody Garbrandt returning to defeat Brian Kelleher and Ariana Lipski turning in a great performance with an armbar over Casey O’Neill.
