For unknown reasons, the UFC Fight Night that was set for Shanghai on December 9th has now been switched to Las Vegas.
Fight manager Shu Hirata first noted the change on X, formerly known as Twitter. MMA Junkie also received confirmation of the switch to the UFC Apex.
The move postpones four Road to UFC bouts that were to be a part of the undercard. The Road to UFC bouts feature top prospects in the region. Also per MMA Junkie, the fight between Brendson Ribeiro and Mingyang Zhang has been canceled due to the location change-related travel issues.
One might expect that more fights will be affected due to anticipated visa issues due to the relatively late notice of the switch.
