October 24, 2023 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Dana White announced on X that Jon Jones is injured and the new main event for next month’s event in New York will be Jiri Prochazaka taking on Alex Pereira.

The replacement fight for Jones against Stipe Miocic is Sergei Pavlovich vs. Tom Aspinall.

The event takes place on November 11th at Madison Square Garden in New York.

According to White, Jones will require surgery and be out 8 months. No word on Miocic plans although its evident he will not fight in November.

The event just took a star power hit without Jones. Unfortunately, for what many believe is the GOAT, he is derailed after just returning to the Octagon from a 3 year absence this past Spring.
