UFC 290 Prelims draw combined 1.9M viewers on ESPN and ABC

The UFC 290 Prelims aired on ESPN and ABC this past Saturday and drew nearly 2 million viewers. According to the Sports Business Journal, it was the second most-viewed UFC event on linear TV during the Disney era.

The UFC 290 Prelims on ESPN drew an average of 704,000 viewers and 0.4 in the 18-49 demo. The UFC 290 Prelims on ABC drew 1.196 million viewers. The early Prelims on ESPN 2 drew 566,000 viewers per Sports Media Watch.

The UFC telecast on both ESPN and ABC was the third biggest sporting audience compared to the Concacaf Gold Cup matches on Univision and FS1 and the NASCAR Cup Series on the USA Network.

The feature fight of the UFC Prelims was the retirement match of Robbie Lawler as he went out with a first round KO of Niko Price.
