Report: Fury-Ngannou boxing match a go?

July 7, 2023 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Ariel Helwani sent out a tweet that former UFC Heavyweight Champion and current PFL signee Francis Ngannou is set to fight Tyson Fury.

Tyson Fury x Francis Ngannou is expected to be announced very soon, per sources.

While the tweet does not indicate if the match is MMA, Boxing or a Hybrid one might conclude that this will be a boxing match.

Ngannou’s new deal with the PFL allows him to box outside of the organization. Even though PFL would not be a co-promoter to such a bout, it would still receive publicity ancillary to a Ngannou boxing match. Fury is a great promoter of his fights and would garner a lot of international appeal.

Time and place of the fight will be very interesting.
