Oliveira tops list of UFC 289 bonuses

June 12, 2023 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC 289 took place Saturday night at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. Co-main event winner Charles Oliveira earned one of the $50K Performance Bonuses for his first round stoppage of Beneil Dariush.

Oliveira needed less than a round to stop Dariush. His stoppage via punches sets him back in contention for another shot at the 155lb title.

In addition, Canadian Mike Malott used a guillotine to earn a Performance Bonus with a second-round finish over Adam Fugitt. Stephen Erceg’s debut was well-received by the UFC as he earned $50K for his unanimous decision victory over David Dvorak. Finally, the Fight of the Night went to Marc-Andre Barriault and Eryk Anders as the two put on a show for the fans. Barriault ended up with the victory.
