TMZ is reporting that Jorge Masvidal’s father, Jorge Masvidal, Sr. was arrested for attempted murder after allegedly shooting someone in the arms during a dispute at the fighter’s home in Florida. The former UFC fighter was not involved in the shooting according to the report.
Masvidal, Sr. was booked at 1:33 am Thursday according to the report. A police arrest affidavit obtained by TMZ states that Masvidal, Sr. got into a verbal argument with an individual that was at the home that escalated and the 67-year-old shot the person in the arms.
Masvidal, Sr. was previously in prison for drug trafficking having been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Gamebred recently retired from the UFC this past April with his last fight in Miami.
