UFC 287 Prelims draws 1.115M viewers

The UFC 287 Prelims drew 1.115 million viewers on ESPN Saturday night per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily. The viewership was good enough for first overall in cable ratings.

The telecast emanating from Miami was a precursor to the PPV event featuring a rematch for the UFC middleweight title. The telecast scored 0.43 (555K viewers) 18-49, 0.27 F18-49, 0.58 M18-49, 0.44 18-34, 0.22 F12-34, 0.50 M12-34, 0.44 and 0.42 in the over 50 category.

The feature bout of the prelims saw Kelvin Gastelum def Chris Curtis via unanimous decision. The matchup was awarded Fight of the Night.

The last rating recorded saw a combined rating of 1.10 million viewers for UFC 283 as it aired on ABC (756K) and ESPN (346K).

Payout Perspective:

Really great ratings for this PPV Prelims event which aided Top Rank Boxing later that night on ESPN. The prelim rating bode wells for the overall buy rate.
