Jake Paul inks deal with Celsius Energy Drink

February 24, 2023 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Ahead of his fight this Sunday against Tommy Fury, the Sports Business Journal reports that Jake Paul has signed a deal with Celsius energy drink.  No financial terms were disclosed although the article states it’s a long-term deal.

The deal starts on Sunday although Paul was seen taking sips of the energy drink during his appearance on ESPN’s First Take.  He also had one on stage during Thursday’s press conference in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

Paul faces Fury on PPV from Saudi Arabia on Sunday night.

Paul will have Celsius branding on his fight night attire and the You-Tube star turned boxer will be a part of a promotional campaign for new products.  The deal will be for both his boxing career and his aspiring MMA career in the PFL.

Celsius is the official drink of the PFL.  UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier is also an endorser of Celsius.

Payout Perspective:

The article notes that Jake Paul is taking a different route than his brother Logan Paul who aligned with formal rival KSI to develop the popular Prime drink which is now a sponsor of the UFC.  Jake Paul’s deal reflects his ascending status as a disrupter in combat sports.

Interesting - in the early 2000s, HBO had to defend "de facto" promoter allegations in front of Congress. If DAZN uses licensed promoters to organize the fights, it's hard to call them a "promoter." SRL signed deals with ABC and HBO without having a promoter, so it's been done.
