UFC 284 Prelims draw 1.128M viewers

February 14, 2023 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The UFC 284 Prelims drew 1.128M viewers per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily. The telecast started 11 minutes late from its original start time of 8:00pm ET due to the Michigan-Indiana college basketball game.

The telecast drew 1.128M viewers and 578,000 viewers in the 18-49 demo. It drew a household rating of 0.61.

The feature bout of the UFC 284 Prelims saw Modestas Bukauskas earn a decision victory over Tyson Pedro. Also on the telecast, Joshua Culibao submitted Melsik Baghdasaryan, Shannon Ross stopped Kleydson Rodrigues and Jamie Mullarkey defeated Francisco Prado.

Payout Perspective:

The 1.128M viewers is a very good number and promising for this February’s PPV buy rate. It did better than last month’s prelims which aired on both ABC and ESPN. While college basketball was a lead-in (the Prelims were also airing on ESPN+) and seeped over into the UFC block, viewers did not miss any fights. The Perth PPV will likely go down as one of the best of 2023 with the phenomenal crowd.

Wait, is this for real? Trump spent $60 million of our taxpayer funds to host a UFC fight and then is selling UFC coin to line his family’s pockets. The Trump corruption swamp is a mile deep.
