UFC Fight Night Orlando draws 1.014M viewers Saturday

UFC Fight Night 42 took place on Saturday night at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.  The event drew 1.014M viewers on ESPN and was first overall in cable viewing.  The prelims were 3rd overall and drew 877,000 viewers.

The telecast for the main card aired later than most on the network with a 10pm ET start.  The prelims aired right before it on ESPN at 7:03pm ET (late due to overrun).  The prelims bled over into the first few minutes of the main card as Angela Hill was announced the winner of her fight as the main card was to begin. 

The Fight Night main card featured Kevin Holland and Stephen Thompson in an entertaining fight with Thompson winning the battle between the two friends.

The main card drew 0.41 (530,000 viewers) in the A18-49, 0.24 F18-49, 0.57 in M18-49, 0.30 A18-34, 0.15 F12-34, 0.35 M12-34, 0.45 A25-54, 0.34 in over 50. 

The prelims drew 0.30 (328,000 viewers) in the A18-49, 0.20 F18-49, 0.40 M18-49, 0.20A-18-34, 0.17 F12-34, 0.27 M12-34, 0.34 A25-54 and 0.34 in the over 50 category.

ESPN’s College GameDay was sandwiched between the two UFC telecasts in cable ratings.
