PFL 6 on ESPN draws 291K

July 5, 2022 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The Professional Fighters League’s sixth installment of the 2022 season took place on ESPN Friday night in Atlanta. The telecast featuring Kayla Harrison drew 291,000 viewers per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.

The telecast featured Kayla Harrison as she destroyed Kaitlin Young as she marches toward another women’s lightweight final. Also on the card, we saw Ray Cooper, III destroy Brett Cooper but realize that he is all but eliminated from the playoffs. Also, another upset as Rory MacDonald went down to Sadibou Sy. MacDonald still is in playoff contention but the loss to Sy hurt.

The telecast drew 0.07 in the A18-49 demo, 0.03 in the F18-49, 0.12 in M18-49, 0.06 A18-34, 0.03 F12-34, 0.06 M12-34, 0.10 A25-54 and 0.15 over 50.

Payout Perspective:

The 291K viewers on Friday night is decent for the PFL which hasn’t really find much traction this season. Yet, the viewership is not really translating to the tradition key demos for MMA (i.e. M18-49 and A18-49 in general). The biggest audience that PFL had on Friday was the over 50 demo which does not say a lot about the product thus far this season.
