UFC on ESPN 37 attendance, gate and bonuses

June 20, 2022 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC on ESPN 37 took place in Austin, Texas on Saturday night.  To commemorate the company’s return to traveling outside of The Apex it gave bonuses to all finishers Saturday.

The Fight of the Night went to Josh Emmert and Calvin Kattar.  Emmert earned a split decision victory although there was ample evidence that Kattar could have come out the winner of this fight.  Each received $50K bonuses.

The Performances of the Night went to Kevin Holland, Joaquin Buckley, Gregor Rodrigues, Adrian Yanez, Jeremiah Wells, Ricardo Ramos, Cody Stamann, Phil Hawes and Roman Dolidze.

The event was a sellout at the Moody Center in Austin Texas with 13,689 in attendance for a gate of $1.93 million.

Payout Perspective:

Fans are happy that the UFC is traveling once again as they are flocking back to see the company as it heads around the U.S. this summer.  Dates in Long Island, Dallas, Salt Lake City and San Diego should be sold out.  The UFC is rewarding fighters for finishing fights by bonusing all the fighters that deliver a crowd-satisfying end.
